Job Description

Advanced Personnel Resources is recruiting on behalf of our client in the Charlotte, NC area for the position of Paralegal.  This is a Direct Hire opportunity with an esteemed client of ours in the manufacturing world.  Qualified candidates will have at least 3-5 years of experience as a Paralegal and manufacturing experience is preferred.  Please see below for a list of duties and responsibilities:


Job Summary:

The position requires a person who can prepare and handle sensitive and confidential information with maximum discretion and diplomacy. Candidates must possess considerable initiative, independent judgment, a capability to manage multiple priorities, strong attention to detail and a continuous learning and improvement mentality. This position will report to the Assistant General Counsel.

  • Strong experience in document life cycle management.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills enough to make decisions regarding daily work that is complex in nature. Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, able to handle a high-pressure environment, possess excellent communication skills and phone etiquette.
  • Must be flexible and agile when priorities change and show calm under pressure to adapt to those changes.
  • Must have strong attention to detail; unquestioned capability to maintain confidentiality; strong communication skills; an intense customer service and people orientation; and the willingness to introduce creative ideas in pursuit of continuous improvement.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Assists attorneys with:

- reviewing, negotiating and drafting legal documents, such as confidentiality agreements, loan documents, and control agreements.

- reviewing and analyzing documents such as corporate resolutions, trust agreements, organizational documents, vendor contracts, etc., to respond to inquiries on a wide variety of legal-related issues.

- respect to legal processing, including discovery requests and subpoenas and reviewing documents for responsiveness and discover-ability.

2. Research and resolve issues and matters which may involve substantial legal or factual complexity, through detailed review and/or examination of documentation and/or factual investigation.

3. Prepare legal memoranda and correspondence under attorney supervision.

4. Assist in the drafting and organization of Legal Service Division forms and templates.

5. Assists with special projects, including supporting due diligence, closing process and record-keeping.

6. Adheres to general standards to promote a cooperative working environment by utilizing communication skills, interpersonal relationships and team building.

Job Requirements

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Some college / associate degree
  • Paralegal Certificate or related-Business School courses.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of previous experience required.
