Job Description

We are currently seeking an experienced Payroll Generalist to join our team. Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 4 years of experience supporting the payroll and office department with employee payroll, benefits verification and invoice processing.   • Assist Office Manager with processing weekly payroll through ADP
  • Enter all new employee data into ADP portal to ensure accurate payroll processing
  • Process E-Verify and track expiring documentation to ensure compliance with government regulations
  • Update payroll deductions and wage garnishments when received
  • Track and manage unemployment claims including preparing documents for hearings and coordinating with internal staff on appeals
  • Coordinate with payroll manager for yearly open enrollment and track employee responses
  • Communicate with insurance carrier on benefit enrollment issues or missing insurance cards
  • Support Office Manager with weekly client invoicing and accounts receivables processing
  • Monitor new client applications and complete credit references
  • Monitor and support Operations Manager with workers compensation claims including processing new claims and coordinating with insurance providers
  • Prepare and process reports for management staff
  • Manipulate data within Excel to generate reports
  • Prepare large scale mailings and communications for both internal and external recipients
  • Cover receptionists desk when needed
  • Create support tickets for technical issues with online programs
  • Create and edit documents in Adobe
  • Assist with other administrative duties requested

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting payroll department
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience working with new hire paperwork and employee onboarding
  • Experience with E-Verify preferred
  • Strong knowledge working in excel including but not limited to creating reports, mail merges, sorting and pulling data out of databases
  • Experience working in adobe including creating fillable documents
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • Strong organization skills
